Relationships
The following people below are major characters whom Wolfram had the most contact with (of course, I could list every single character he had contact with, but then even the littlest extra guy would have to be here... and I honestly don't think anyone gives a crap about those people XD). Listed in alphabetical order (family name). More characters to be added soon. Information subject to change once finish season two. :)
To season two characters (Spoiler warning).
Greta
Greta is a human girl who entered the castle once claiming to be Yuuri's child. So ya, of course Wolfram was pissed when he heard that. XD Anyway, Greta's cuteness isn't my type, but like I'll say about Günter later, she's cute, like, universally. XD At first she's rather weird, but she's just a child after all, and eventually she becomes more cheerful.
After the incident betweeen Greta and Yuuri that caused the entire castle to be pissed save for Yuuri (of course), Yuuri and Greta grew close, and Greta eventually warmed up to Yuuri. Yuuri then made Greta his adopted child, and so Wolfram also became her father (naturally, according to Wolf XD).
Wolfram cares a lot for Greta; he reads her stories and basically spoils her, despite her being a human. Greta, meanwhile, treats Wolfram as one of her fathers, the other being Yuuri, of course. She doesn't feel intimidated around Wolfram and enjoys it when Wolfram tells her stories.
Greta's a cheerful lot; she gets along well with everybody. She especially looks up to Anissina, who she thinks is corageous and so uber-cool. :D
Shibuya Yuuri (Yuri)
Ah, yes, Yuuri, the protagonist of Kyou Kara Maou! and Wolfram's main love interest XD. Due to a misunderstanding of ancient tradition, Yuuri unintentionally asks Wolfram to be his fiancée (so ya, apparently proposals can be unintentional). At first, Yuuri is liek totally pissed and stuff with Wolfram, since Wolfram insulted his mother. They end up dueling, and Wolfram goes all psycho-bi0tch when Yuuri beats him at sumo (which is kind of unfair since Wolfram doesn't know shit about sumo). So Wolfram continues attacking Yuuri, first with a sword, and then with his flame magic, and when Wolfram unintentionally hits a castle maid, Yuuri gets mad and becomes demon!Yuuri.
This is an important arc in the story, because this is the first time Yuuri shows his powers of the Maou. This also affirms that he is indeed the Maou they are looking for. When Wolfram witnesses Yuuri's water powers, I think Wolfram starts to hold a great deal of respect and appreciation towards Yuuri, since after that, Wolfram still teases Yuuri but without the contempt and spite he initially held. As the series progresses, it becomes evident that Wolfram's feelings for Yuuri go beyond respect and appreciation; in fact, Wolfram doesn't want to call the proposal off. Wolfram also never forgets to remind Yuuri constantly that he's Yuuri's fiancée and tends to accuse Yuuri of infidelity a bit too much, even if Yuuri never meant to do anything of that sort. So cute. :D Wolfram's softer, more sensitive side is most expressed whenever he's with Yuuri. He is also always there to protect Yuuri, and always finds a way to be by Yuuri's side, even if he needs to travel the distance. He's very dedicated to Yuuri, and would never turn his back on the Maou he loves.
Yuuri's feelings towards Wolfram are a bit more shrouded in mystery. It's obvious that he treats Wolfram as a friend, and is in fact very tolerable about Wolfram's brattiness (he even indirectly encourages it sometimes, such as when he poses for Wolfram's paintings), but he never says out loud that he likes Wolfram in a romantic way. Yuuri does accept the fact that Wolfram is in-your-face hot (he calls Wolfram a "bishounen" in the first episode, and also mentions once that Wolfram is way more cuter than him), though I don't think he means them in an "I'm-hitting-on-you" kind of way.
Of course, we Yuuram fangirls know deep in our hearts that Yuuri and Wolfram are meant to be together and will get married someday and have a tons of bee-babies. But those days are reserved for fanfics and for a rabid fangirl's imagination. XD
Oh yeah, much apologies if I used the sexdemon!Yuuri as Yuuri's image. I just thought he was sexier like that, so yeah. XD
Günter von Christ (von Kleist)
Though Günter's hotness is not my type, he is kind of hot, like, universally or whatever. And he's got a raving group of hot fanboys, so that's saying something. He's a pretty obsessed Yuuri fanboy himself, and he always like goes berserk and stuff when Yuuri's not around.
He doesn't have much interaction with Wolfram, but he did mention once that Wolfram was a "wawagama-puu", which means, according to my subs, "selfish loafer". Gwendal agrees with him. Wolfram doesn't talk to him much, either, though he acknowledges that Günter is a good fighter. And because I have nothing else to say, I'll just mention how Günter and Gwendal make a hot yaoi pairing. XD
Annisina von Khrennikov
Annisina is my favorite female character. I mean, gods, she's so crack. XD Especially when she makes all those insane inventions and forces Gwendal and Günter to be test subjects. She never fails to make me laugh. I mean hell, she makes me laugh even when she isn't present, like when Wolfram read to Greta her rather strange children's storybook. XD And how she pwned puppet!Günter is soooo priceless. XD
Anyway, like Günter and Gwendal, Annisina thinks Wolfram is a selfish loafer. Not that I'm disagreeing or anything, because part of Wolfram's charm lies in being a spoiled-rotten noble. XD Like Günter, Annisina doesn't have much interaction with Wolfram, actually, but it seems they know each other's personalities pretty well. Wolfram, for one, knows to stay away from Anissina when she's on one of her experimenting sprees. XD
Cecilie (Cecil) von Spitzberg
That hot girl is Cecilie, Wolfram's mother. What's most noticeable at first appearance is how alike she looks to Wolfram, which is cool because she's pretty hot, therefore Wolfram is also hot. And because she's oozing with sex appeal it is no wonder Wolfram has the same appeal to fangirls like me (and you, hopefully XD). Cecilie is a happy-go-lucky girl on her quest to find true love (but I want to see her with Raven, honestly, lolz).
Cecilie knows she's good-looking, and she's proud that Wolfram took after her looks. I think she pretty much spoils Wolfram, although once she scolded him for being such a wuss on a ship. But she's just looking out for Wolfram, and cares for him a lot. Wolfram pretty much cares for her too, though he is oftentimes seen exasperatedly exclaiming "Mother!" whenever she tries hitting on Yuuri or some other hot guy. I think their interaction as mother and son is hilarious and cute. XD
Gwendal von Voltaire (vom/von Walde)
Gwendal is Wolf-chan's oldest brother. Just so you know, he's totally hot (as if you can't already see from his smexy pic right there) and he sort of knows how to knit (well he knows the basics, though I think he needs much work on the actual look of things he knits). His weakness is cute things. XD Gods he's so much love and crack. He appears at first as this stoic character but when I learned more about him I began to really enjoy his presence; in fact, one of my favorite storylines is the one he had with Yuuri during the earlier half of the first season. Gwendal is so endearing for me, probably because he acts all tough and cold, but really is sweet and gentle. And if you hadn't noticed already, he's my second fave character next to Wolf. XD
Soooo, anyway, back to the point. At first Gwendal doesn't seem to care much about Wolfy. In fact, when Wolfram is lifted in the air with demon!Yuuri's sea-serpents-of-DOOM he liek smirks. O_o He also once agreed with Günter that Wolfram was a selfish loafer. However, Gwendal does look after Wolfram, and at one episode he tells Wolfram not to follow in his (Gwendal's) footsteps. And of course, I won't mention why unless you want to be spoiled. XD Wolfram, meanwhile, treats Gwendal as a brother than Conrad (at first appearance). I also believe Wolf has a great deal of respect towards Gwendal; in fact, Wolfram stated once that Gwendal was worthy of becoming the next Maou.
Moreover, Gwendal has a weakness for cute things, and since Wolfram's cute, I don't think Gwendal can resist him (note: pointless, shallow addition XD).
Conrad (Konrad) Weller
Conrad is Wolfram's second elder brother, and as you can see from his pic, he's really hot too, which of course isn't the cause of much surprise, since their mother is hot, and his father Dan Hiri is hot (like, Aragorn-hot yeaaah), so ya, he's bound to be hot. His image over there is made with my favorite screenshot of him. I swear, he's supposed to be worried, but the look on his face says something more along the lines of, "I'm so lonely, love me!", which strengthens my theory (at which I'm the only one who would probably agree to it) that he's totally uke material. To whom, I don't know. Maybe Yozak; he dresses really femme sometimes but he's more buff and whatever, so you could probably guess who's bound to pin down whom. Or he can be paired with Gwendal, if you prefer incest *gets shot*.
Erm, but that's beside the point. XD Conrad's really nice to Wolfram and tolerates his utter bratiness more than, say, Gwendal, but Wolfram holds this sort of contempt for Conrad since Conrad's the offspring of a human father. Or at least, Wolfram tries to hold that façade. Truth is, Wolfram holds a lot of respect for Conrad, and looks up to him a lot. Conrad was the one who taught Wolfram his sword skills. He also helped give birth to Wolfram and took care of Wolf when Wolf was still a baby.
The reason why Wolfram tries to distance himself from Conrad is because he found out when he was still young that humans age quicker than mazoku's. I guess Wolfram doesn't want to get hurt, but it doesn't prevent him from loving his brother, anyhow. :)
